The First Roll of 120mm Through the Ikoflex

My grandfather was also an amateur photographer, and his main camera was a Zeiss Ikoflex 120mm. Now I have the camera, and I just got my first roll back. Here are the best of the roll.

Empty street at Wimberly Trade Days.

Taylor sitting in a rather broken wicker chair.

A sunset in San Marcos (I also have a shot similar to this from my 35mm).

Mom Photography

This is what happens when your mom gets a hold of your camera (well, technically it's hers, she bought it when she was in college).

Sunset In Wimberly

I finally got these photos back. I took them a week or two ago but it took a while to get them back because of a mistake someone made at the place that I had develop them. Luckily, they turned out beautiful!

These were taken from a place called Prayer Mountain, also known to some as Mount Baldy (not to be confused with the Mount Baldy in Garner State Park). It's a very neat place, right in the middle of a neighborhood. It had stone stairs going up it, with a flat rock shelf at the top. A very neat place.

These were from a few hours before the sunset. I was just messing around with my zoom lens.

Steel Drums at McCallum High School

Thanks to a friend's uncle, we heard about and went to see a steel drum concert at McCallum High School. It was very neat. It was a combination of a professional band and high school students.
Not only was the music, but so was the school itself. It was a very neat old place with lots of artwork on the walls.

There were even dancers.
Yeah, they had fun. And so did I.

Zilker Kite Festival

This is probably my favorite photograph of the day. There were tons of people there and lots of interesting kites.
Combine something I've never done before (go to the kite festival) and some good friends, it was all around a good day.
Even if the crowds (and parking) were crazy!
